Nope,
No one has ever tested it. How about if you be the first :-)
Seriously, this is basic physics. Everytime you convert energy from once
form to another there are loses involved. Your scheme would entail several
energy conversions and corresponding losses. In the end you will have less
range with whatever contraption you come up with.
Now you can generate electricty with a windmill while the bike is not in
motion and come out ahead, but using the motive force supplied by your
batteries to create a wind which then turns a windmill to generate
electricity to put back into your batteries is a losing proposition. You
ARE trying to do the impossible and headed straight down the path of
inventing the perpetual motion machine...
You can close your eyes and think this through with me and see that I am
correct or you can close your eyes and ignore me, then build and test this
system... and see that I am correct. Your choice :-)

Can you give me more on that? Has someone done any testing?

regen....let me put this out there.
If instead of (or addition to) regen, one mounts a windmill generator of
sorts on the bike to generate during rides. No, No, No, i am not talking
about the impossible, just a range extender if you will.
So, if my bike gets 25 miles at 25mph, and i put on my "windmill" and
get more its worth it right?
Besides just throwing it on....How would one make the conclusion that
what power generated was worth the drag and extra weight of said
contraption?
Thoughts???!!!
thanks Paul
