i'm not sure on the technical terms but i think they are called the communicator the little metal blades spinning on the edges near the housing. a few of those came off and jammed there is a picture on my blog [Entry for June 4, 2007] not sure if it was small rock or over heating regarding a trany for the PM i think i will proceed with my current setup, but if i every make a bike for someone else i would use something to protect it from lock up
