What can I do for that other than mount the motor well and so the shaft is in line with the swing arm and near the pivot? I plan on this much. And it is a lighter bike being designed with lower gearing to try to make it as conservative as possible.
Try to get the sprocket up close to the motor. Think of it like you're holding a brick with one hand. It's a lot harder to hold it with your arm straight out than it is up against your body.
