In order to take data on my EM, I ended up building an Alltrax ATX
monitor. It runs on a Palm PDA with serial I/O (I use a Vx) and it
monitors the available parameters (motor amps, battery volts, throttle
%, and controller temp). It also calculates battery amps. Data can be
logged. Sample screen at:

I have it so you can set alarms. For example, if motor amps goes above
an alarm, the amp reading goes to inverse video.
Palm Vxs go cheap on ebay. Anyone interested in something like this, or
have I reinvented a wheel?
