I'll post it there. Since I really don't have a good running EM yet, I'd like it if someone that does try it out. One I confirm it works I've added any suggestions I can I may try to post it to Sourceforge or the like.

I added total Watt-hours. It adds a fifth bar, so the display is pretty darn full now. It will maintain the last value at power off or when switching applications. The value can be reset as well. I've only been running it on the emulator, so I need to download it to the Palm and test it out. I'll post it all then.

BTW, there IS an emulator that runs on PC (and Mac I think). It will use the PC's serial port so it really works. So if you have some pocket PC perhaps it would run via the emulator. When I post the code I'll add in info on the emulator and the Alltrax commands (though I see it's been reposted here).

Let's see what else?

I have looked at other platforms, but anything with a decent display is a few hundred bucks. An old Palm is dirt cheap and no big deal if gets wet, dropped , or lost. They are small and rugged and have a great interface and decent display. Heck, I even found a GPS head for mine at the local thrift store for $10!

If you are interested in sharing your code and the
how-to, Mike had created
http://www.emdash.electricmotorcycles.net where he had
been working on creating a monitor and display for his
EM hence the emdash. Anyways, if you join that, there
is a "my uploads" section that should be able to be
shared. I believe the max file size can be 16Mb. After uploading, it should be easy to copy a URL and
add it to an email. This portion of the site has had
little activity but is still interesting to brouse
