I meant that WSS/MOSS 2007 is a moving target, so any book written about it will be out of date. It's the unfortunate downside of current MS paradigm for platform software (no "stable" release like there was with WSS/SPS 2003, etc) of "release when marketing says to and add features later."
Infrastructure Update changes SO MUCH (especially around SSP and search) that I think not using it as baseline is a bad move. I would chat to MS directly about this. If they're really going to fix it (as brian suggests) then ask for a review copy of the patch. You're doing them a service providing information about their product that they don't provide, so they should be accomidating (especially considering your MVP status). IF they're NOT going to fix it then leave it out, with a footnote. Honestly, an addendum on your website may be the best option, especially if you update it quarterly. Cover what is "now" and have notes about upcoming things.
