Q: What operating system environments
are supported? Amazon EC2 currently supports Linux-based
systems environments. Amazon EC2 currently uses a virtualization technology
which only works with Linux environments. We are looking for ways to expand it
to other platforms in future releases. Scott

look like you missed anything there. Afaik, TFS can’t
run on *Nix..and rightfully so ;) From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Peter Ritchie "Note: Currently
Fedora Core 3 and 4 systems based on the Linux 2.6 kernel are explicitly
supported, although any Linux distribution which runs on this kernel version
should work." Unless I'm missing
something, Amazon EC2 is for running Linux instances.

there must be a catch…seriously??? From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Bernardo Heynemann Checked it out on Amazon site. It seems pretty good to me:

virtual machine you get is really powerful and incredibly cheap (I don´t know
yet how they even make money with S3, but whatever!). I´ve been meaning to try it out but I´m overwhelmed
with project BHAL as of now. If you try it let us know :) On 9/20/06, Brian H. Madsen <[EMAIL PROTECTED] > wrote: Would it allow me to run TFS tho? Most

On Behalf Of Bernardo Heynemann Or you could try the latest service from
amazon in which you create a virtual machine available on the web. Really cool.

guys, I've
been wondering if it would be possible to get hosted TFS? I know it integrates
heavily with AD but I do remember (from the beta 1 installation that we tried
out) that it's possible to have users connect remotely to it without being on
the domain. So,
does anybody know of a host that'd be willing to do that? (other than getting a
dedicated server of course). Am
seriously keen in trying it out, but since it's still in beta I wont drag it
into the development team at work (can't risk it).
