CodePlex does use TFS under the hood, I’m
actually hosting two of my own open source projects there already: SingleUserBlog: http://www.codeplex.com/WorkItem/List.aspx?ProjectName=SUB BlogML: http://www.codeplex.com/WorkItem/List.aspx?ProjectName=BlogML It’s a pretty restricted exposure of
TFS for the time being though. For example, there’s no build server, you
cannot assign policies to your projects, there’s no reporting. It’s
pretty much just simple work item tracking and source repository for now. I’ve
spoken with the people behind it but they haven’t given a firm commitment
about what extra functionality they may expose as yet. From:

Hosted TFS... Not sure if this is the same thing, but
what about CodePlex? I'm under the impression that site uses TFS behind the
scenes. I was also under the impression that u can connect directly to your
project using the Team Foundation Client. Finally, i'm not sure if CodePlex is
open to the public yet, or if CodePlex (as a possbile solution) was mentioned
in this list. Extra Info: Web Site: http://www.codeplex.com FAQ: http://www.codeplex.com/Wiki/View.aspx?ProjectName=CodePlex&title=CodePlex%20FAQ FAQ Snippets: How do I connect to the
CodePlex TFS server? Only project coordinators or developers have
permissions on the CodePlex TFS server. Connection instructions
appear on the Source Code tab of your project when you're logged in. What is the architecture of CodePlex? TFS.. etc... CodePlex Team
Foundation Server FAQ blah blah blah.. lots of interesting
things, including TFS Explorer download. -Jussy-

On Behalf Of Bernardo Heynemann Or you could try the latest service from amazon in
which you create a virtual machine available on the web. Really cool. :) On

wondering if it would be possible to get hosted TFS? I know it integrates
heavily with AD but I do remember (from the beta 1 installation that we tried
out) that it's possible to have users connect remotely to it without being on
the domain. So, does
anybody know of a host that'd be willing to do that? (other than getting a
dedicated server of course). Am
seriously keen in trying it out, but since it's still in beta I wont drag it
into the development team at work (can't risk it).
