Yes, in addition to there are other high interest books for middle
school students - have you looked into the National Geographic?

I am looking for titles for grade 7 students who are not meeting the 
state's standards, they are in an AIS (Academic Intervention class).   I
find that 
adventure, mystery and realistic fiction is the most popular with them.
Any 
recommendations?
