I would think the opposite were true. E.g. if I were cruising and had killed a boat full of people I thought were pirates I doubt I would go broadcasting that fact at the next yacht club. In many countries pirates (or 'fishermen' who dabble in piracy) who go missing would never be missed or reported in the media and such an incident would never be known. But If a cruising boat had turned up missing, or full of pirates when it pulled up at the yacht club, you can bet it would be broadcast.... but that's just my perspective. I would be interested in knowing the true stats, although like you say, these stats can't really ever be accurately established. _______________________________________________ Liveaboard mailing list [email protected] To adjust your membership settings over the web http://www.liveaboardnow.org/mailman/listinfo/liveaboard To subscribe send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] The archives are at http://www.liveaboardnow.org/pipermail/liveaboard/ To search the archives http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] The Mailman Users Guide can be found here http://www.gnu.org/software/mailman/mailman-member/index.html
