Perhaps I should clarify a few things. There is a lot more to writing an acceptable article than combining a few posts from a list.
Before I would quote anyone by name, I would ask their permission. Lifting a whole paragraph anonymously is plagiarism, something I would not do. During my liveaboard days, I found a number of places that allowed a certain number of liveaboards but did not want to advertize it. If they were inundated with people wanting to do it, they would have banned it altogether. Another place legally was not allowed to have liveaboards, so they told us to avoid that expression. We were called "extended vacationers." If you are in a similar situation and do not want to say exactly where you are or were but would be okay with saying what state you are in and how you or someone else negotiated an unofficial agreement, that is fine, too. One of you reminded me about Gangplank marina and another mentioned a problem in the Seattle area, but neither had firsthand experience. A lead is all I need to start searching the Internet for information and possible local contacts. I also checked the SSCA web site and found some good general Florida information as well as details about a Marco Island situation. You might find the SSCA information interesting as well. You have given me enough to keep me busy for a while. Thank you.
