Winch nomenclature has got me confused! I understand that the numbers relate to mechanical advantage. For example, a Lewmar 30 has a 30:1 mechanical advantage. Is this standard from brand to brand. Does a Barient 27 give a 27:1 mechanical advantage? Is a Barlow 30 equivalent to a Lewmar 30?
