It is safer to install a plug-in handheld control. This requires one small
hole for the plug receptacle. No accidental actuations of the windlass and
it keeps your hands and feet away from the chain gypsy and chain.

| Have any of you installed a windlass lately?
|
| I'm looking for suggestions for a set of windlass foot-switches that
| doesn't require a pair of 2" or 2.5" holes drilled into the deck. The
| switch carries only a low voltage, so the huge bolts/lugs on the
| standard foot-switch are not required.
