Yanni, No, I did not forget.
On a ship the Bridge Officer can easily have his eyes millimeters from the spinning glass disk. Aboard Bandersnatch the Bridge Officer and the Helmsman is most often the same person and stands or sits about three feet (one meter) from the glass. This would make for such a narrow field of view as to make the device useless on my vessel.
