An ice house or a nice house? I could understand the latter not wanting cow 
pies around the yard, but I don't understand why Colorado had salt in the ice 
in the early century??
 
Since he probably shoveled the sawdust out of the icehouse when removing the 
next block of ice, I can see why 'plops' lying around might taint the old 
sawdust, but we just sawed up a couple of trees and used new sawdust every year.
