There is slightly more, but it has nothing to do with the
type of processor in use.  And exactly what part of Windows
does a Mac OS use?  Or do you mean Microsoft apps, like Word,
which has run native on Macs for nearly 10 years now?

I've used Macs for many years.  I am quite active on the net
and use email quite heavily.  I have no need of virus protection
software and have never had been infected (I wrote and managed
OS software and networking software for 35 years, so I think
I'm pretty well-informed).

Your mileage may vary, but I vastly prefer a Mac to any Windows
machine.
