I think he means that you request MS to "elevate" your call to a more senior
technician. Unfortunately, MS is now charging for every fucking kind of
call. AND, they now even charge for email advice. I had an unrecoverable
boot problem on a laptop and could discuss it with no one. This was a Vista
mystery. I'm getting fed up.

WONDERFUL!   And just  how is an ordinary consumer suppose to know all 
that and tell the difference  between  a dealer who has an open licence 
structure or something else?
Just what do you suggest  to someone when Microsoft tells them to get 
lost or pay  $199.95.  Just what is  a second or third line help from Ms 
whwn Mixrosoft  itself tells you to get lost.
