Sounds like a  head gasket problem. Look into the heat exchanger fill with a 
flashlight. If you see bubbles in the coolant when the engine is running, 
that's it. Check for water in the oil. Grey and foamy - definitely a head 
gasket problem. Water is getting in to the combustion process somewhere.
