The new AirX gens are significantly quieter than than the original
units, primarily due to the new blade design. Interestingly, there's a
fellow in Germany (a professor of aerodynamics, if I recall correctly)
who has actually designed an essentially *silent* set of blades for the
AirX. At $300 or so, it was too expensive for me to experiment with, but
I looked at his web site with much longing. :)
