That is a little bit fuzzy. Why do I need to install lilo in order to use lfs?
What
the hell is Pure64? Also the homepage isn't that easy to use, I just can't find
a
simple download area, only the sources and some old svn-versions.
It seems that there has to be done a lot of work, so that I am just going to
wait some
time before testing CLFS

I am going to try a simple LFS build. I try to imagine tghat there is a simple
i386
notebook infront of me...

Is it possible to compile a LFS-x86_64 using that kernel, then?

I really don't have a own one, too (poor pupils...). A friend of mine is on
holidays
and he lent me his notebook.
