wireless support in cd?

Do I have to remaster the cd to enable support for the rt61pci module
that is the driver for my network card?
or is there a module prebuilt on the cd for it that I can just insmod to
enable the device? [ since it doesn't find the rt61pci when I try insmod
I'm thinking it may be a different name on the cd. ]
