I just got the sources onto the laptop for the device.
I also put the patch you linked to on it.
I have a source package that I got from the branding company for the
chipset as well, it is the pre-open source version of the drivers for
the chipset.
and yup, I contacted Ralink about this, even though they released the
sources a while back. Don't want to have Ralink get pissy and not
continue to have open source drivers.
The odd thing about the branding company code, is that is supports both
2.4 and 2.6 kernels while the open source drivers are 2.6 only.
I should be able to test both the proprietary and open source drivers today.
The proprietary drivers include the binary roms for each kernel.
