rebooted and applied the patch, rebuilt the sources, with no errors. same warnings about variable types. iwconfig gives a module built with wireless 22 extensions, this kernel only supports wireless 20 extensions, some features may be broken. even after insmod rt61.ko and running iwconfig, the device is not powering up and registering with the open source drivers.
