Howdy John,

Looks good.

One comment: I wonder if /binary/ is the right
name for llrpdef.xml and friends. It's scope seems
broader than "binary". I've pondered for a few
minutes and no better name occurs to me. I suppose
binary would be OK, but perhaps something better
is possible.

Regards,

Subject: [ltk-d] Perl release; questions about namespace changes [heur]

Hi,

The LLRP-XML / Perl is checked in to CVS and relatively complete so I
am planning to make a 0.7 release of the code of $/Perl/* and
$/Current/* onto SF.

One rough edge at present is namespaces, dereferenceability and the
URL structure for LLRP.org

Here is a proposal, let me know what you think. Also if you get a
chance check out the latest Perl code and give it a whirl. It would be
nice to get some feedback before tagging the release and generating
the tarball.

LLRP.xsd
        namespace will become
        http://www.llrp.org/ltk/schemas/base/abstract/0.7

Browsing to the namespace URL will give a web page
describing LLRP.xsd purpose and a schemalocation
        URL

        schemaLocation changes to
        http://www.llrp.org/ltk/schemas/base/abstract/0.7/LLRP.xsd

llrpdef.xsd

        namespace will become
        http://www.llrp.org/ltk/schemas/base/binary/0.7

Browsing to the namespace URL will give a web page
describing LLRP.xsd purpose and a schemalocation
        URL
        http://www.llrp.org/ltk/schemas/base/binary/0.7/llrpdef.xsd

llrpdef.xml
I am going to put an attribute version="0.7" in the root llrpdef
        element.
There are no namespace strings in the binary file at present,
though the vendor name and related PEN constitute a kind
        of namespace.

llrpdef.xml would be hosted at the following URL:
        http://www.llrp.org/ltk/schemas/base/binary/0.7/llrpdef.xml

For vendor extensions, in the future we can envision

yourNameHeredef.xml
and
yourNameHeredef.xsd

        http://www.llrp.org/ltk/schemas/ext/your-name-here/abstract/x.y
        http://www.llrp.org/ltk/schemas/ext/your-name-here/binary/x.y

Thanks in advance for your comments and criticism,

-- John.
