GLSL IMHO is a bit too low level just for widget rendering so the
programming is very hard and inconvenient compared to using QPainter. I
think we should use our precious developer ressources for other kind of
improvements ;-) Furthermore there are already possibilites in todays
graphics stacks to offload raster operations like GLAMOR so we really
should not need to do that manually (and that way we would rely on proper
OpenGL availability which is an extra unneccessary requirement).
