Well yes, that's basically it. A fx channel selector in the track widget. Not for bb-tracks, only for instrument tracks. BB-tracks would have their channel selectors in the instrument tracks inside them.


A couple more pixels of horizontal space isn't a big deal.
This statement is based the size of the existing LED graphic (40px after padding) pushing the now 304px pane to 344px (over 1/3 of a 1024x768 display).  Yes wide-screens are becoming more and more popular, but they aren't necessarily *that wide*. :)

Most screens these days are at least 1300 pixels wide. 1024 is pretty much obsolete these days.

I'm not saying we shouldn't support small screens though. That's what the "compact mode" is for, and like I said, the fx selector could maybe be omitted in compact mode.


We can whittle away a few pixels from the label buttons as well

I have the feeling I know @Vesa's response on this, but any interest in combining the FX indicator and the mute/solo into one widget:

Not really a fan. The current leds work fine IMO...
