Yes, I agree. I was writing my last emails faster than I was thinking

Further suggestion: If a midi file is opened, then it is linked to a 
soundfont (by default the FluidR3 soundfont, I guess the mono one which 
is smaller in size than the bigger stereo one) which is declared in the 
MusE general settings window. Thus, if one wants another soundfont to be 
linked to a midi file that is opened in MusE, one can change the 
soundfont. How about that?

How about auto-importing the FluidR3 (or possibly any other soundfont, 
as suggested above) only at the moment when one opens a midi file? To 
save memory if no midi file is loaded. I only have 2 GB RAM, so I need to 
save memory to a certain extent. I would like to use the stereo FluidR3 
soundfont as the default soundfont for playing midi files, this soundfont 
one has 140 MB.
