Hello Paul,

IRC is cool even if can be a huge time sink. Email has many advantages. It is 
persistent, mailings lists are archived, and you can take your time when replying. IRC 
does not have these qualities. 

I already spend too much of my time reading/writing email. A new communication channel 
is unlikely to help my situation. Otherwise you are most welcome to try. Regards, Ceki
