Okay, here goes:
Digital autonomy refers to the capacity of individuals, groups, or
organizations to exercise meaningful control and self-determination over
their digital lives, systems, data, and environments — without undue
external dependency or influence. It includes control over access,
decision-making, and the design of digital infrastructure and practices.
Based on:
https://lifestyle.sustainability-directory.com/term/digital-autonomy/:
"Meaning → Digital Autonomy: Taking intentional command of your digital
life for well-being and sustainability."
The reason for including this here is that we also talk in LPIE about
licenses, the open source ecosystems, and as a "soft" subject I think it
merits some attention.
