Menino raises valid points: we have always tried to concentrate on skills,
not knowledge. But when it comes to studying for developing skills, and
testing these skills, then we have to be more specific. After all, we
expect LPICs not only know the theory and concepts, but also to be able to
actually apply that and do something useful in practice.
So the question has been: what tools do we expect our exam candidates to
be familiar with?
