First off, to compare to the Linux+ is a joke.  I took it in June of
2002 and scored a 833/900 (around 92.5%).  It is considered an exam for
"6 months experience" and I don't think it musters even that if you use
the ExamCram -- you could have 0.

Although I took the LPI exams (all 4) "cold turkey" in March of 2003, I
did read the Objectives and reviewed that I understood _everything_
about each topic.  And in the case of one or two things, I looked up a
man page or did a Google.COM/Linux search.

IMHO, some questions  piping and other things _must_ be more
comprehension/application-based to avoid someone from merely "knowing"
basic things about Linux and the command-line.  We're testing for 1-2
years experience after all.

He did not score too poorly.  Is not 500 passing?  He was only 40 points
away.
