I know, I know. but pkgsrc is independent of the underlying system you could even use it on Windows. I wanted to mention it to you, because you said that even on a binary package manager based distro, you'd like a ports-like way of building a web-server stack, for example. pkgsrc could prove to be very useful to you there. just my 2 cents. -- regards, Bart Van Loon It must be awful to be a girl.
