Hi everyone,
LPI has been working with some training, academic and other partners
in order to create a more introductory certification for people just
starting their trek into FOSS and Linux.
Just to be clear, this is intended as a low-stakes cert. It isn't,
per se, part of the LPIC programme. For years, people have referred
to the mythical LPIC-0 level (don't call this by that name!!) ;) I
think of it as more an itch-scratcher for people that want to get a
feel for what all of this Linux stuff is without being an overwhelming
first step.
The planned publishing date for the exam will be June 11th 2012. The
draft exam objectives can be found on the LPI wiki at:
http://wiki.lpi.org/wiki/LinuxBasics
Any and all feedback, comments and questions are welcome. I do
reserve the right to punt some of the questions to people that are not
as impolitic as myself, though.
Regards,
