I am in the same boat. I guess what you are trying to do is to setup the printing
for the html pages. If you want to print some kind of html form, then you can hit
print button and the backend will send the page to the printer.
But html printing looks ugly, specially if you print a form with light colors to
black and white printer. What I am trying to do is create xml document and send it
to a printController to parse and print.
On my setup, I run Postgresql, EJB server and Tomcat. I hope to use some kind of
resource adapter that talks to native services. (MBean in java world).
