If you search the archives you will find that I asked a similar question. The recommandation was to use either Xerox or HP. I must say that I will recommend the Xerox Phaser 7700 but NOT the Xerox Phaser 2135. The 7700 does return pagecounts etc when printing on appsocket, whereas the appsocket on the 2135 doesn't function properly. The 7700 has in addition an internal pagecounting (job logging) which even gives you the amount of toner used for each job. Regrettably I have only got it to work when sending LPR or Ethertalk jobs, not appsocket. The quality is also much better on the 7700 (but of course the price is higher). I have no experience with the HP color lasers.
