I just demo'd an OKI C7400 colour printer. It works well with LPRng including the accounting. It is based on LED single-pass technology rather than laser, multiple-pass technology like the HP4500 series. It is very fast to warm-up and print the first page. It is also very clean. Output quality is good to both paper and transparencies.
I currently have an HP4500 colour printer which works well but takes seemingly forever to print the first page and is very messy (toner always is everywhere inside the rotating toner area). The print quality from this printer is good in spite of all the toner everywhere. The only downside I found to the C740 is that you cannot get separate page counts of colour versus monochrome printing like you can on the HP 4500. I am now trying to get a Lexmark C750 to demo.
