You have one of those playful 'what is the status' programs running.

sigh...  They open a connection, send a query, and then close a connection.

Just for fun,  try sending 200 SNMP queries to an HP1550 (or was it an HP1500?).
Poor thing just sat there telling the world 'busy'.
