We have only about 130 printers, but we print about 7M pages in a year.

In all reality, LPRng on AIX will merely spool the print, then forward
it to our Redhat LPRng servers, so size may not matter.

Do you use a precompiled version of LPRng? Where did you obtain it?

I compile it myself.

If not, did you compile it with IBM's C compiler (/usr/vac/bin/cc), or
GCC?

gcc.
