Andy,

You aren't getting far enough to hit the problem with XDMCP.

Although once you get past the 'No screens' problem, that is likely
to be the next hurdle.

The 'No screens' problem indicates that the Xserver was unable
to find a matching setup that would work with your video card
and monitor combination.

It could be trying to run at too high a frequency (Vert or Horz).
It could be asking for too high a color depth for the resolution
and amount of ram on your card.

To go further, we need to know more about your video card.
For instance:

  What chipset does it have ? 

  How much RAM is on the card ?

Which Xserver are you specifying in the lts.conf file ?
Or, did you leave it at 'auto'?

That information will help us to help you.
