Hello everyone,

It's been a lot of fun getting ltsp working. I've got everything
ironed out, except this little detail. I spent quite a bit of time
looking of the doc's at the XFree86 web site, and did determine that my
graphics card is supported. It's an older PCI card, but still supported.

The error I'm getting is "No screens available." That's the line
right after "Fatal Error" when X craps out. It then drops me to a bash
screen and that's where I sit. (Incidentally, what would I do to
"logout?" Meaning, what's the proper way of shutting down and ltsp
session?)

I've read through some of the doc's on the ltsp site, so far as
trouble shooting. Nothing matched my particular problem, but the one
thing I was wondering about was the xdmcd stuff. About having an X
display manager running to accept requests on IP ports. I did the
netstat -ap | grep xdmcp thing, and nothing comes up. I further went
through my config files as meantioned in the troubleshooting section
(I'm running Red Hat 7.2) and tried to enable kdm. Did EXACTLY as
specified...didn't work. I even rebooted the machine, I also tried
explicitly calling kdm by typing the full path to command at the command
prompt.

Am I on the right track for solving this, "No Screens Available"
problem, or is it something else?

Andy
