Hi all,
I am setting up LTSP on RH9 and have experienced 3 problems which do not
appear to be covered in the documentation or TSGuide.
1. Right after the terminal has obtained the necessary info from DHCP, the
terminal starts to download the vmlinuz image via tftp. Sometimes the
download flies through in a few seconds, other times it downloads for a few
seconds then stops and occasionally has a ... (NBI)... in the hash trail. If
it stops, I have to reboot the terminal as the download never completes.
During this time, there are no obvious error entries /var/log/messages.
2. I have not been able to successfully create or attach to an NFS swap. It
always fails. The terminal I am using only has 32 MB memory and cannot be
upgraded. So I think I have to go with an NFS swap partition.
3. Lastly, the terminal hangs when it gets to the mount section, again no
error messages in /var/log/messages.
I managed to get LTSP working about a year ago using SuSE7 and RH7.2 as a
proof of concept, but have been stumped on RH9.
