Re-reading makes me wonder if the card that you are using is supported.
Look up /opt/ltsp/i386/etc/lts.conf.readme for all cards that are
supported. If your card is not found in that then my suggestion would be
to try:
        XSERVER = Xvesa
in the lts.conf file for this workstation section. With mode line
suggested earlier.
