There is a specific Debian section for OSS redirection in KDE at the 
Sound page of the Wiki. Remember that Debian dos not have the same 
directory structure than the other distros. Try the OSS redirection tips 
of the Wiki page as-is, and then try it again but with ALSA. Comment us 
the results.

BTW, "export LD_PRELOAD" must not fail in bash. Can you copy us the 
failure lines?
