The source is ALL there.  You can install anything you want in the chroot.

Install bzr

bzr checkout http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~sbalneav/ltsp/scotts-gutsy
bzr checkout http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~sbalneav/ltspfs/ltspfs-upstream

That's all the source code to EVERYTHING that's been done.

We use the distro's packages.  ltsp4.2 never had a bootsplash that was
officially supported.  There were lots of people who would post a howto
for boosplash for a specific version of a kernel, then things would
change, and it wouldn't work anymore.
