They might not have been discontiued as such, but are no longer part of the
default installation, especially since SuSE started releasing its upgrades
from SuSE Linux 8.0 and later. There are some other packages that are not
part of the default installation, such as automake, autoconf, GNU Make, and
all sorts of other GNU utilities.

This can be frustrating, so my advice to you would be to install a SuSE 7.x
generation OS, such SuSE Linux 7.2, and then upgrade your installation to
8.0 or 8.1. That way, you are sure you have all those packages you've been
used to from the past.

If you still can't get your software, then check the SuSE FTP server. If
nothing else works, source code is your friend.

Guys

Please advise. Were those two utilities discontinued in Linux esp Suse ?
If so, how would I be able to find out more information on ownership of
an IP or block of IP's ?
