lets take it easy.. ! (i actually also fear to ask qns on this list) ;-)
But I am sure you post questions on other lists.
correct.
Could it be because:
a) You have no personal relationship with members on other lists?
not a reason at all. because i know many luggers in active sysadmin tasks are on many other lists anyway.
b) You feel more confident of responses on other lists?
this would largely depend on the list i posted the question to. If my problem were a mysql, apache, exim, postgres.. etc.. specific issue, i would feel confortable with an answer from the respective list.
c) You feel your post may not be taken seriously on the UG-LUG?
on numerous occassions, my technical posts to LUG did not receive any answers. (I just saw you also posted something, but no answer). Not that it is a list's responsibility to solve problems (coz nobody gets paid for that), but thats what a patriotic community is all about.
so, yes - i feel my post may not be taken seriously on the UG-LUG.
d) You don't want to "help" the competition?
no bro.. I work for a not-for-profit organisation, serving the African Internet Community in general, so, dont even go there :)
I think we need to move away from this mentality, if indeed, it is the case.
you're right mark.
Let's help stop Kiggs from spending his time copying_and_pasting for us :).
hehehe leave poor Kiggs alone .. he could kill the mailman process and ...
