Finally the problem was that the network 41.0.0.0/8 was listed as among the bogon networks in the named.conf file. But this network has since been allocated to AFRINIC since March 2005 from whom One2net obtained IP addresses.

So after commenting out this line, everything is perfect. Mike has confirmed he can now query Infocom and I can do the same for one2net.
