Bankom's problems are not so much the number of transactions Ugandans
are bound to make. They are compounded by their cost per transaction
which does not make it economical. If I have to be charged over Ushs 600
per ATM transaction before even the bank adds its charges, then its not
worth me using another bank's ATM. I rather look for my Bank's ATM. That
is why many banks are not hooking up to them. There is another model
that is being proposed and if Bankcom does not catch up onto it, then
most likely another player will be in for a kill coz as far as I know,
funding might even be available to set it up. Do I see Ziggy (rather
True African) getting excited?
