I have 2GB on my MacBook, and it runs beautifully. I can either run X11 or VMWare Fusion. VMWare Fusion is far more stable. And as I realised, a full Linux OS provided far more stability with regard to the 'kdepim3' package than running only KDE under X11. The memory footprint with VMWare Fusion is negligible and causes no problems. VMWare Fusion also provides a clean interface between my file system on Mac OS X and the one under Linux on the virtual machine. KDE under X11 on Mac OS X botches this badly. Cheers, Mark.
