I've been paying $50 for my 7Mbits with Comcast for almost 4 years. Initially it started with 3Mbps, then went up over the years at steady increments. It has actually been 8Mbits for south florida customers for almost a year. My brother is paying $45 for his Mbits in his apt complex.

Precisely, 85usd per month for 2Mbps, 50:1 contention ratio.
